Support CookeryHQ on Indiegogo

Indiegogo campaign is officially go!

Hi there! We’re Simeon and Rufus, a developer-designer duo with a history in crafting software for the social care sector. The solutions we created takes the pain out of care providers’ lives.

But enough about old jobs; let’s talk about our newest passion — CookeryHQ! We’ve cooked up (see what we did there?) this delightful platform aimed at turning food bloggers and recipe creators into web chefs without any of the tech headaches.

Since we served this hot dish a couple of months ago, the user base has been simmering nicely. We’ve even managed to pull in some ad revenue. Now, we’re aiming to bring this to a full boil, and for that, we need your help!

Building a Fairer Community—Yes, Really.

Why The Bloody Hell Does Fairness Matter?

Listen up, folks! You know how the internet is basically the Wild West for content, right? A lawless land where big corporations like to play the sheriff, hogging all the eyeballs and revenue. Well, that’s precisely why CookeryHQ is donning its white hat to bring some balance to this culinary showdown! Yeah, you heard it right—FAIRNESS! A word so foreign to Silicon Valley, they’d need to Google Translate it!

Alright, Here’s How We Won’t Screw This Up

Transparency: I can already hear you asking, “Where does the money go?” And unlike a magician who never reveals his tricks, we’ll be spilling the beans (or should I say, the recipe) every month! We’ll release financial reports that are so transparent, they make Saran Wrap look like a brick wall.

Open Feedback Loop: You know how when you yell at your TV, it never listens? Not here! We’re opening up forums and surveys where you can yell at us virtually, and we’ll actually listen. Think of it as couples therapy, but for a website and its users. Isn’t that sweet?

Sharing is Caring, Baby: Now, hold onto your chef’s hats. We’re going to share half of our profits with our creators from day one. That’s right! HALF! It’s like cutting a pie, and instead of hoarding all the pieces, we’re handing you a fair half! As we grow, we hope to give you an even bigger slice, because let’s face it, who doesn’t want more pie?

And Yes, You Get to Be Part of This Delicious Democracy

Community Votes: You want to decide if we should add a new feature like “Underwater Basket Weaving Recipes”? (Don’t, it’s a terrible idea.) Well, you’ll get to vote on it! That’s right! Your clicks will carry as much weight as the anchovies in a Caesar salad!

So, What’s On The Menu?

Alright, so how do we plan to spice things up? Well, we’re targeting a funding goal that allows us to incentivise our content creators in various tasty ways:

  • Reward Top Weekly Creators: A payout for creators who gain the most views each week
  • Fund Unique Recipes: Paid directly to creator for adding recipes
  • Raffle prizes: Among all current creators

But wait, there’s more! Back us up and find your name gloriously displayed on our platform’s Wall of Fame which will be accessible from each recipe. Pledge more and get rid of those pesky ads and unlock premium meal plans. If we come up with any other premium feature, then it will be free for you as well! It’s the least we can do!

Why Now?

The time is ripe, my friends! We’ve successfully launched platforms in the past, and we’re now at a stage that’s very familiar—everything’s set but just needs that extra push to soar. With your support, we can take CookeryHQ from a scrappy startup to a key player. We’ll even have the resources to develop a mobile app and eco-friendly recipe features.

New Challenger Approaching!

Now, you may ask, “Why you guys?” Great question! Our secret sauce is a commitment to fairness and community-led development. Unlike big corporates in glass offices, it’s just us two, dedicated to prioritising our creators.

We’re not here to dominate; we’re here to share the kitchen. You can learn more about our approach over at blog.cookeryhq.com.

Support us in other ways

If you are not able to contribute to this campaign, there are always other ways you can help us:

  • Visit CookeryHQ to see our project in action
  • Consider submitting your own recipes
  • Make some noise on social media

Your support, in any form, helps us add more spice to CookeryHQ.

So there it is. We’re not just offering you a place to share your slow-cooker chili recipe; we’re offering you a stake in a culinary utopia that values fairness, transparency, and most importantly, you. Now, who wouldn’t want to be a part of that?!
